We had Fish (Cod and Halibut) and chips and Fish tacos. If possible I would have given a 3.5 star rating. The food looks, smells, tastes good. I liked the texture of everything we had.

The interior decor and cutleries needs replacing it easily put you off.

The inside looks quite dated, and the seating is "interesting".

Like the other review said. - great food, but weird location and setting.
I actually saw my server working at Houston pizza the next week - He said it's a bit of a gong show at Joey's.

Overall I'm happy. Next time will be take out though

Our "party of five" stopped in here as we were traveling through Medicine Hat the other day. I have eaten at other Joey's years ago and had mostly good experiences, but our dining experience here was somewhat less than satisfactory. The fish we ordered (halibut and haddock) was decent, though the portions were smaller than expected considering the prices. The French fries were tasteless, and I wonder if they weren't just frozen fries heated in an oven. My daughter had the quarter chicken - it was overdone and dried out, which we thought was odd because we ate there early enough. Our waitress was friendly and the service good, but for the prices they charge, I had higher expectations. The restaurant itself also didn't seem as well-kept or clean as it could have been. Overall, I don't think I'd recommend this place to a friend.
